A Stowmarket student is among the top 0.2% of pupils in the country after achieving top marks in his T Levels results.
Tanner Minter, 18, was among just 14 out 7,380 pupils taking the qualification to get top grades after studying at Suffolk New College.
T Levels were launched in 2020 and have been developed in collaboration with employers and education providers to offer students practical and knowledge-based learning.
The Stowmarket student gained a Distinction* while studying health, and is the only person in the country to have gained top marks while learning the topic.
“I’m very happy and not sure what is next," said Tanner. "T- Levels provide a lot of face-face activities so it’s a good learning opportunity.
“At Suffolk New College, you get treated a lot more like an adult than just a student which actually makes you want to learn, so it helps a lot. The support that we’ve had is great.”
His success comes as thousands of pupils across the county have opened their A-Level results.
Nationally, the proportion of A-Level entries awarded top grades is up on last year and remains above pre-pandemic levels.
