Happiness and pride filled the halls of a Suffolk high school as sixth form students celebrated their A-level results with friends and family.
Nearly three quarters of students achieved grades A* to C at Thomas Mills High School in Framlingham on Thursday.
Of the current cohort, 20 per cent achieved at least A grades in all of their subjects.
Among those was Jamie Bennett, who has secured a place at Manchester University after achieving A* A* A in mathematics, further mathematics and physics.
He said: " “I’m very happy with my results. I didn’t expect to get that. I’m really looking forward to going to Manchester and meeting new people.”
Fellow student, Max Stace earned A B B and will now go on to study physics at Lancaster.
He said: “I’m happy with my results. They’re what I needed to get into university so I’m happy and I’m looking forward to my course.”
Laura Panter achieved three A grades and will be heading to Manchester to study intentional business finance and economics.
Cadence Mangan plans to study chemistry and maths at Leeds University after securing three A grades.
Andrew Cann, assistant headteacher and Head of Sixth Form shared his pride.
He said: “The results pay testimony to the hard work, dedication, commitment and determination of the cohort and they reflect the professionalism and support of the teaching staff.”
The school further congratulated Eva Balding for her results in biology, geography and German, Edie Evans in biology, chemistry and art, Anouk Harris English literature, history and politics and Jack Thrun in chemistry, mathematics and physics.
The school offers 32 possible subjects, a feat headteacher Philip Hurst said allowed students to "pursue their talents and hopefully their dreams".
Mr Hurst said: "We congratulate our students on their well-deserved success and we wish them well in the next, exciting stage of their lives.
“It’s been great seeing their tremendous personal development and resilience. They’ve contributed so much to the school and sixth form and we will miss them.”
