A publican is seeking permission to erect a temporary tent in its grounds in order to "sustain itself in the future".
Gavin Evans, of The Red Lion in Great Wratting, near Haverhill, has applied for a lawful development for a large tent in the back garden pub.
The igloo-shaped tent sits within the licencing area of the pub and would be used temporarily.
An application lodged with West Suffolk Council said it would be provide a space for functions.

"I think it should be granted as the village would make great use of this when it comes to village functions," a statement said.
"Also, this would help my business develop more as I could hold more functions.
"If this isn’t proposed then this pub may not sustain itself in the future and may end up closing, which is not what we want."
The pub sits just off the A143 and is located about three miles from the centre of Haverhill.
A decision is expected to be made by Monday, October 7.
