Police say they are investigating the death of a man in his 20s in connection to an assault which is reported to have taken place in a seaside town.
Officers were called by paramedics to a property on Carr Road in Felixstowe at about 10.30am on Sunday after a man in his 20s was found dead.
Police say the man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and a Home Office post-mortem examination will be carried out.
However, officers are also investigating an altercation and assault reported to have taken place in the town in connection to the death.
The altercation reportedly took place the previous night on the seafront promenade by at Undercliff Road West at about 9.20pm.
A police cordon remains in place at an address in Carr Road while enquiries are ongoing.
No arrests have been made yet but an investigation is underway.
Police are asking anyone with information or anyone with CCTV or a video doorbell between Ranelagh road and Undercliff Road West to contact them, quoting crime reference 37/45286/24.
