A pizza restaurant in an east Suffolk town, which closed a day after its grand opening when a chip fat fryer set on fire, is now reopening.
Pizza Town, in High Street of Saxmundham, was closed after emergency services were called to a fire coming from a chip fat fryer at about 4.54pm on Thursday, July 25.
The incident caused damage to the kitchen and hose drill jets were used to extinguish the blaze, forcing the restaurant to temporarily close.
The doors to the restaurant were shut until last Friday when it partially reopened with a soft relaunch.
The restaurant, which is based at the former premises of Pizzeria Locale and serves American-style pizza, has now been fully refurbished and is set to reopen on Tuesday, August 20.
The staff at restaurant said: "We are really looking forward it. The fire was really bad luck for us but we're excited to be back. We just want to serve local customers with our delicious food.

"At the moment we are opening slowly to make sure we get things right. We want to work with the town to provide the best experience possible.
"As a team we have been working in the catering industry for over 20 years and we love it. We feel we provide something different for the town with our American-style pizza and fresh kebabs, and we've had loads of great feedback so far."
They added: "People can pick up, order online or dine in our lovely restaurant as well. It's going to be great! Plus, we are running a 10% offer on all online offers on August 20, so everyone can get a good deal."
