A Suffolk primary school has retained its good rating following an Ofsted inspection.
Saxmundham Primary School in Brook Farm Road was visited by the education watchdog on April 23 and 24.
The school, part of the East Anglian Schools Trust, was found to prepare year six pupils well for secondary school.
A report, published in May, found pupils achieve in line with others nationally in English and mathematics while teachers effectively support disadvantaged children to achieve well.
The school, which has 271 pupils, was said to be "determined" to teach children to read fluently.
The report read: "The school is ambitious for the pupils with SEND that attend the school. This means all pupils access learning across the broad and ambitious curriculum that is set out."
Praise went to practical activities and experiences that complement learning at Saxmundham Primary School, including visits to a castle and the library.
Inspectors found in some subjects pupils were "not supported to revisit prior learning before moving on" so tended to remember the activity rather than the key information.
They also said there were some lessons where understanding was not checked carefully and so pupils moved on before they were ready.
Children in the early years were said to enjoy a range of activities to help them learn and new children were found to settle in quickly.
The report read: "The school supports pupils’ personal development well through the curriculum.
"Trips and visits to places beyond the local community broaden pupils’ horizons."
Inspectors said to improve, the school should ensure pupils understanding is checked as well as it is in English and mathematics for other subjects and that pupils have enough time to revisit prior learning.
They added: "Leaders must ensure that the curriculum builds on what children already know and can do, towards cumulatively sufficient knowledge that enables children to access new learning."
Good schools are typically revisited every four years.
