A Suffolk town centre bank will close down today.
Halifax confirmed earlier this year that its branch in Sudbury would close down on Monday, August 12 after a lack of use.
A spokesman for Halifax said only 463 customers used the North Street bank four times in the six months leading up to November 2023.
Since the start of 2023 both Barclays and HSBC have closed down their branches in Sudbury.
The former Barclays bank building remains up for sale with a £575,000 price tag.
A report into the Halifax closure said 32% of customers had used other Halifax banks in the last 12 months prior to November 2023, while 71% had used other branches or online banking in the previous six months.
The main users of the bank were aged between 55 and 74, the report claimed.
When the branch closes, the next nearest Halifax will be in Colchester - more than 15 miles away.
