Ipswich Town legend Tony Mowbray received a standing ovation and cheers during one of his first appearances following medical treatment.
The 60-year-old was a player for the Blues at Portman Road between 1995 and 2000 and helped the team secure Premier League promotion at Wembley in the final game of his playing career.
Earlier this year Birmingham City announced Mr Mowbray was temporarily withdrawn from his role as manager until the end of the season due to the need for medical treatment.

In a statement he said: "As people will be aware, I am currently undertaking a period of extended convalescence following significant and unexpected surgery earlier in the year which required that I take a period of medical absence."
It was later revealed Mr Mowbray would not be returning to the club.
On Saturday, Mr Mowbray was spotted at Riverside Stadium attending the Middlesbrough vs Swansea match.
At half time he stepped onto the pitch to a standing ovation from the crowd who chanted: "He is one of our own".
Mr Mowbray said: "I've had the toughest six months of my life," before thanking everyone for their support.
