A burglar who went into the home of a young woman while searching for drugs was among those jailed in Suffolk this week.
William Parker
Ipswich Crown Court heard how 34-year-old William Parker entered a young woman's home in Sycamore Close in Beck Row and started looking through bed covers in search of drugs.
The victim said Parker, who appeared to have been drinking, asked "Where is it?" and "Where are the drugs?" before she left the house crying and upset.
Parker, of Smokehouse View in Beck Row, admitted burglary with intent to steal as well as six offences of assault on police officers, two offences of criminal damage and using threatening behaviour.
The court also heard during one incident in June, Parker jumped onto the train track at Bury St Edmunds station after he removed by a conductor because he'd been drinking.
After he was arrested, he scratched an officer's hand and kicked another officer on the leg.
Benedict Peers, for Parker, said his behaviour had been "that of someone who wasn't properly with his problems."
Parker was jailed for 12 months.

Jay Cotterill
Ipswich Crown Court heard how Richard Hunt and Stephanie Hardy delivered a card to a bungalow in Sutton Heath where Jay Cotterill lived with his partner Debbie Williams.
Prior to the visit there had been an exchange of threatening texts and phone calls between Mr Hunt and Cotterill after Ms Williams found text messaged on Cotterill's phone between him and Ms Harvey, who he had previously been in a 13-year relationship win.
Mr Hunt used a baseball bat to bang on the windows of the property before he was confronted by Cotterill.
Cotterill armed himself with a large kitchen knife and in a frantic call to 999, Cotterill could be heard saying: "Baby, baby I think I am going to jail for a long time," and "I think I've killed him."
Mr Hunt had sustained seven stab wounds and died at the scene.
Cotterill, of Ipswich Avenue in Sutton Heath, was sentenced to 11 years in jail for manslaughter.
He was previously cleared of murder and assault causing actual bodily harm against Ms Harvey.
In addition to the 11 year sentence, Cotterill will also spend another three years on licence.
