Five crews attended a fire caused by a power line near Halesworth Friday morning.

Five crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service attended a field fire in Westhall, near Halesworth this morning.

The fire broke out in Locks Road, Westhall, at 9.17am on Friday, reportedly caused by a fallen power line.

Five crews from the fire service were dispatched to ensure the fire didn't spread.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said: "The field fire was out on arrival.

"Crews dampened the ground around the 100 metre by 10 metre area to ensure it didn't spread."

The stop time was called at 9.48am.
