Plans for a new community store in a village have been lodged.
Babergh District Council has received proposals to convert a storeroom at Elmsett Village Hall into a shop.
The plans include a change of use, addition of three rooflights and some modifications.
It will be run by Elmsett and Aldham Community Shop Limited, a community benefit society.

A planning statement said an application for a community benefit society has been lodged with the financial conduct authority.
The application for the new shop follows the closure of Elmsett Village Store in March.
"The steering group considered a number of options for suitable premises for a new community shop and the logical, and only viable option, was to locate the shop within the grounds of the Elmsett and Aldham Village Hall and Recreation Ground," the planning statement adds.
"The village needs to have a shop back up and running quickly to support those struggling to get out of the village to do their shopping, especially given local road closures and the lack of public transport serving our communities."
If approved, the shop will sell essential food and household items.
