The House in the Clouds on the Suffolk coast is being opened up for visitors to check out the interior and enjoy some tea - with funds being raised for a good cause.

The Thorpeness landmark, which stands 70 feet tall, was built back in 1923 as a water tower being being converted to mask its industrial features.

Today it is rented out as holiday accommodation, allowing guests the chance to stay in a quirky five-bedroom property in the scenic village near Aldeburgh.

The House in the Clouds featured in an EADT spoof story for April Fool's Day, as we 'claimed' the building had been told to change its name.

Manager Natasha Le Comber is opening up the House in the Clouds on Wednesday, August 28 and Thursday, August 29 to give people a glimpse of the 1920s decor inside the property, have a bite to eat and take in the wonderful views of the Suffolk coast.
