A large number of travellers remain pitched up on a playing field in a mid Suffolk village.
Haughley Parish Council has said it became aware of a "large number of caravans" arriving at the playing fields last week.
People were being encouraged to stay away from the King George V Playing Field as a result of the encampment.
Last the parish council said it was doing all it could to move the travellers on.
A council spokesman said: "Understandably this has caused some concerns this week amongst the residents of Haughley parish, as it has meant restricted use of the playing fields and playground alongside some very real worries regarding noise, anti-social behaviour, litter and reported biohazard concerns around the disposal of human waste."
However, the caravans remain pitched up at the playing fields.
The spokesman said there has now been a heavier police presence in the village as a result.
The spokesman added: "It is essential that residents report all forms of antagonistic behaviour – whether criminal, anti-social, harassing, aggressive or excessive noise.
"We are liaising daily with Mid Suffolk District Council who are assisting with our need to accelerate the recovery of the land."
