A west Suffolk stadium that suffered "significant damage" after a fire last week has revealed upcoming fixtures will be cancelled.

Twenty-nine crews attended a large fire in Mildenhall Stadium that started in the early evening of Tuesday, July 30.

Mildenhall Stadium has updated social media further, announcing that the national saloon stock cars British championship scheduled for this weekend is cancelled.

It is working with the National Saloon Stock Cars Association to try and find another date for the weekend, but "no date can be confirmed at this time."

The post added: "All further Mildenhall fixtures for the foreseeable future are postponed."

Currently, all advanced ticket sales for Mildenhall Stadium events have closed, but race fans who have already bought tickets will be able to redeem them once new dates for fixtures are confirmed.

Mildenhall Stadium said it "appreciates the patience of everyone during this difficult time".
