A cult BBC radio presenter and a DJ who once worked with Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and David Bowie has been announced for a Suffolk festival.
Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music has revealed who will be taking part when the event comes to the town from Friday, August 30 to Sunday, September 1.
The festival, which previously saw electronic heroes Orbital headline the show, will return with performances at Elmhurst Park, Whisstock’s Place, The Riverside and various venues across the town.
The event will kick off with a pre-party taking place at one of England's oldest pubs, The Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard, on Saturday, August 17.
This event will feature performances by special guest Simon Lee aka Faze Action.
Then, on Friday, August 30, events will begin at The Riverside, with a performance by Les Spaine, one of the pioneers and godfather's of UK funk.
During his illustrious career, Spaine has worked alongside everyone from Marvin Gaye to Stevie Wonder and David Bowie.
On Saturday, the festival will move on to Elmhurst Park, welcoming live electronic duo Sons of Slough and Cult TV and BBC Radio presenter, Katie Puckrik - with her DJ set overlooking the sailing masts on the River Deben.
There will also be a range of artists, writers and performers on show, including bestselling author of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Louis de Berniers, who will be performing his new LP, and The Crown actor Ben Miles, who will also be preforming a DJ set.
Other notable acts will include UK deep house legend Rob Mello and Woodbridge Festival founder DJ Ben Osborne.
There will also be an open mic run by Scripted Development, demonstrations from textiles artist Claire Hardaker and Family Yoga with Emmakyoga.
The event is family friendly and will host a kids zone, eco zone and wellness area, alongside a range of locally sourced food and drink vendors including: Delroy’s Caribbean Grill, Korean Kitchen, The Riverside pop-up bar, Honey Beer and Saltpeter Wines.
The weekend will finally end at Whisstocks Place with an after party taking place from 1pm on Sunday, September 1.
Tickets for each of the events start from £10.
