Drivers will be sent on a two-hour long diversion later this month while the A12 is closed in east Suffolk.
A section of the road will be closed near Southwold between Blythburgh and Darsham between Monday, August 12 and Saturday, August 17.
According to the Suffolk County Council website, the official diversion route is 70 miles long and is expected to take two hours to complete.
Suffolk Highways has said the road will be closed from 8pm until 5am so works will be carried out overnight to minimise disruption to drivers.
The diversion route will take drivers along the A1120, A140, A143, A145, A12 and vice versa.
