A 20-year-old has seen such success with her business in the opening year that she has been able to expand to a new premises, offer new services and focus on her work full time.
Summer Mark, from Stowmarket, set up Summer's Groom Room in July last year operating from Woodfarm Business Centre in Crowfield, near Needham Market and Stonham Aspal.
The business has proved to be a big success, with her services being fully booked up weeks in advance.
Summer, who has always had a "passions for working with animals" trained at the Tendring Dog Grooming Academy in Essex and has a level three animal management diploma.
She said: "It's been going really well.
"I've decided to go full time now, and I moved to another location to allow for more space."
Previously, Summer was sharing her space with another dog grooming business, meaning there would be multiple dogs in the salon at any one time.
This move, however, has allowed her to offer one-to-one services, with full focus on one animal at a time.
She has moved to All Manor of Events in Henley near Ipswich and is offering more services, including teeth cleaning for animals to reduce vet bills for clients in the future, nail clippings and working with other animals including cats, guinea pigs and rabbits.
She has also started doing paw prints for people who want to have a print of their animal, with one even getting a print of Summer's tattooed on herself.
She said: "About a year and a half ago, I was a bit at a loss with what I wanted to do.
"I was working my veterinary job but I couldn't see progression for myself, so I set this business up and in such a short space of time, to be able to turn it into this and already be moving into a new place by myself is amazing.
"I'm able to work my own hours, make my own money, not work for an employer and it's just far more flexible.
"I'm grateful to everyone at Tendring Dog Grooming Academy for helping me. We have a group chat and we are all really supportive of each other."
