A sex offender who had images of a 13-year-old girl being sexually abused on his phone has been jailed for 33 months.
Police officers made an unannounced visit to former serviceman, Dominic Robinson's home in May this year and found indecent images of the girl on his phone, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
The 15 images were made up of two in the most serious level A category, five in category B and eight in the least serious level C category.
The court heard that Robinson was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order in 2021 for possessing indecent images of children and attempted sexual communication with a child.
Since then he has been convicted on three occasions of possessing indecent images and on four occasions of breaching the sexual harm prevention order.
Robinson, 37, of High Road in Leavenheath, near Sudbury, admitted three offences of possessing indecent images of children and three offences of breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
In addition to being jailed for 33 months, he was ordered to sign the sex offenders register and was made the subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
Steven Dyble, for Robinson, said his client had shown a lack of determination to stop committing offences.
He said Robinson, who is a former serviceman, had mental health issues.
