A new pizza takeaway in east Suffolk has closed just a day after opening, following a fire from a deep fat fryer.
Pizza Town, on the High Street of Saxmundham, has closed after emergency services were called to a fire at the restaurant at around 4.54pm on Thursday, July 25.
The new pizza restaurant had just opened at the former premises of Pizzeria Locale on Wednesday, July 24.

In a post on social media, the new takeaway confirmed day that they have temporarily closed.

A spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Services also confirmed that the fire caused damage to the kitchen and hose drill jets were used to extinguish the blaze.
The blaze lasted around two hours and fire crews from from Framlingham and Leiston were in attendance.
Pizza Town have added that they hoping to reopen as soon as possible and they have also apologised for any inconvenience to locals.
