Suffolk is well known for its range of restaurants serving fresh local produce.
However, sometimes, there's no better treat than a dirty burger or a wrap.
Here are five fast-food restaurants will open in Suffolk this year or have already arrived in the county in 2024 and are serving customers.
McDonald's
In June, the world's largest fast food chain opened a new restaurant in Martlesham, near Ipswich.
Now, a new McDonald's is expected to open in Haverhill on Wednesday, July 31 after being pushed back from its initial opening date in June.
The new restaurant will seat 118 guests at a time and will have a drive-thru facility.
Taco Bell
Final fitting works have begun on the Taco Bell takeaway restaurant set to open at Ipswich's Anglia Retail Park this year.
A spokesman for the firm says the restaurant should be able to open within weeks and they are looking forward to bringing their Mexican styled food to the town.
Five Guys
Ipswich's Cardinal Park gained a big player in the fast food industry this year with Five Guys opening its restaurant at the site.
Plans for the American chain's second Suffolk branch were unveiled in September 2023 but it wasn't until February that the restaurant opened.
Benzo's Gourmet Burgers
Benzo's Gourmet Burgers opened in Halesworth's Thoroughfare in January and began selling its signature dirty burgers, loaded fries, crazy desserts.
Benjamin Helmer, owner of the new burger business, said he was excited to open the business as "Halesworth needed a modern takeaway".
Ipswich Chicken Way
Signs have gone up in the town centre for a new takeaway restaurant which specialises in fried chicken.
Ipswich Chicken Way, which will sell fried chicken, burgers and extras including wraps, is set to open this year but an exact opening date is yet to be announced.
