Drivers are set to face a nearly 40 mile diversion while a village road is closed for repairs.
Coram Street, near Hadleigh Heath, will be closed in preparation for surface dressing from Monday, July 29 until Friday, August 2.
The road will be closed between 8pm and 5am for the safety of Suffolk Highways operatives will the work is carried out.
While the road is closed traffic will be diverted along the A1071, A143, A1341, A12, A1214 and the A1071.

The official diversion route follows major roads to allow for larger vehicles that cannot travel down smaller routes.
A spokesman for Suffolk Highways said: "As we plan roadworks in advance we schedule extra days to allow for bad weather or other delays beyond our control.
"If we need to make major changes to our work dates, we will update information signs on site and our social media channels accordingly."
