A new restaurant serving bottomless wood-fired pizza has opened in a Suffolk town.

Slices, a bottomless pizza restaurant, opened at the former premises of Dough&Co in Abbeygate Street in Bury St Edmunds at 12pm on Friday.

The restaurant provides a unique experience as customers pay a set price of £16 to have unlimited pizzas served to them - including pepperoni, chilli honey chicken, ham and mascarpone - with the dough and sauce made freshly in-house. 

There is also a £12.50 unlimited pizza deal between 12pm and 4pm on weekdays.

The opening times for the restaurant will be 12pm to 10pm from Monday to Saturday and 12pm to 6pm on Sundays.

Slices has spent the last few weeks refitting and rebranding the former Dough&Co premises to suit its unlimited pizza restaurant and the owners said they are really excited to be open.

The new Bury St Edmunds restaurant also ran a soft launch on Thursday.

The pizza company describe their service as the "golden ticket for any pizza lovers" with a variety of bottomless pizza being served to your table.

There is also room for request, as customers can ask for specific pizzas on demand and order drinks, cocktails and snacks from separate menus.

The restaurant's owner and founder, Silas Teixeira, 39, said: “The general reaction has been very positive. We have had some amazing comments online via our social media platforms.

"We had a soft opening on Thursday evening which went very well. It was a full restaurant which helped our team with the training side of things."

He added: "We opened and have already taken large bookings for the weekend. The public seems to love the concept and it’s something new for Bury St Edmunds.
