Passengers who regularly use a bus service between two Suffolk towns fear they may be unable to get to work due to changes proposed by its new operator.
It was announced last week that Hedingham and Chambers would be taking over the running of the Hadleigh to Sudbury bus route from Monday, July 22.
Currently operated by Beestons, there are two services from Hadleigh which run before 9am - one at 6.50am and one at 7.50am.
However, under the new timetable for service 90, the first bus would leave Hadleigh at 10am.
The changes have led to some people fearing they have been left in the dark.
"From next week, we are all a bit in limbo with the way we are going to get to work," said Louise Osborne, who lives in Hadleigh and travels to work in Sudbury.
"We are trying to get them to do the service from 7.15am at Hadleigh, instead of from Boxford at 7.30am. But nobody is listening to us.
"My boss has said I can start a little bit later, but at the moment the earliest I am going to get to work is about 10.45am."
Mick Fraser, Suffolk County Councillor for Hadleigh, said he had been contacted by several concerned residents.
He said: "I have spoken to transport officers at Suffolk County Council asking them what we can do. They have been engaging to see what resources they can put in place and meet the requirements for the route."
A spokesman for Hedingham and Chambers said they are currently in discussions with Suffolk County Council.
The spokesman added: "It was believed at the time, that the peak journeys between Hadleigh and Sudbury would continue to be operated by Beeston's and therefore the timetable was adjusted to suit.
"We have also designed this timetable to connect with the Beestons Route 91 service between Hadleigh and Ipswich.
"Following a positive meeting held with Boxford Parish Council and Suffolk County Council last week, it was agreed that a review meeting would take place in six weeks' time, where feedback would be encouraged from passengers, and we would consider ways to further enhance the route."
