Concerns have been raised regarding the care a 32-year-old woman received prior to her death, an inquest has heard.

Suffolk Coroner's Court opened the inquest into the death of Lauren Rae Moret-Dell, from Bury St Edmunds, on Friday.

The hearing heard, Ms Moret-Dell attended West Suffolk Hospital on December 23 2023 with stroke symptoms.

No vascular imaging took place, and she was discharged home awaiting a follow up.

She was readmitted to West Suffolk Hospital on January 8 2024 in the early hours of the morning after a collapse at home.

She died two days later during the evening of January 10, 2024 after being admitted to the intensive care unit at Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

The inquest opening heard her family have raised concerns with the treatment she received at West Suffolk Hospital.

A postmortem has not been completed with the coroner's court to hold a case review on July 29.

Suffolk senior coroner Nigel Parsley adjourned the hearing to resume for a two day inquest in August.
