Concerns have been raised about littering, vandalism and dogs in an historic Suffolk town's park. 

Framlingham Town Council said a 'small group' was causing ongoing problems on the town's Pageant Field in Badingham Road, which is a recreational space with a playground and sports facilities.

In a post on the Framlingham Facebook page, the council said litter had been left lying around, including glass bottles which were getting smashed and posing a danger to others using the play equipment.

Furthermore, the council said there had been graffiti damage to the pavilion, toilets and play equipment, while a bin had been set on fire.

Dog owners were also said to be walking their pets through the play area without cleaning up after them.

The post added: "Our contractor works hard to keep the Pageant Field clean and safe, often going above and beyond his duties.

"If you see anyone behaving in an anti-social manner, please report it to the police or speak to them if you feel safe to do so.

"We really want the Pageant Field to be a safe, pleasant space for everyone to enjoy and would appreciate you being our eyes and ears to help with this."
