Plans to convert agricultural buildings into six homes have been submitted.

Applicant Graham Gregory has lodged a prior approval application for land in Jockeys Lane in Combs, near Stowmarket.

The site has been commonly used for agricultural purposes, although some buildings have been used to store woodworking machines. 

Outline proposals to demolish eight buildings and replace them with two homes were refused in 2018 due to planners considering it not "sustainable development" and "uncharacteristic intrusion into the countryside".

The applicant was given the go-ahead to convert some buildings on the site into residential use in 2019. 

Now, proposals lodged with Mid Suffolk District Council show plans for six homes on the land.

A planning statement said access to the development would be from Jockeys Lane, with current vehicle usage replaced with domestic use. 

It follows a previous prior approval application which was refused in May. 

Planners at Mid Suffolk District Council said the proposal was unacceptable due to the lack of elevations and floorplans submitted.
