A picture has captured the extent of the damage caused to the A14 in west Suffolk following a crash during the early hours of this morning.
A lorry crashed into the central reservation, near Newmarket, at about 3am on Friday.
The photographs shows the central reservation has been badly damaged and recovery vehicles are at the scene.
Two of three eastbound lanes remain closed between junction 37 for Newmarket and junction 38 for Kennett in Cambridgeshire.
One of the three westbound lanes is also closed.
National Highways posted on social media just before 6am to say that the recovery of the vehicle was in the final stages and that extensive barrier repair was still ongoing.
According to the AA Traffic Map, there are still long delays in the area.
