The A14 has fully reopened following an incident involving a bus on fire.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident near junction 40 for Higham, near Bury St Edmunds, at 8.37am on Wednesday.
Four engines from Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket fire stations are in attendance to extinguish the flames.
A spokesman said all the bus passengers were safely evacuated.
The major road was closed in both directions to allow crews to safely extinguish the fire which was causing smoke to blow across the carriageway.
Officers from Suffolk police were also in attendance.
A spokesman for the police said the westbound carriageway reopened at 9.27am with the eastbound reopening just after 10am.
A stop time for the fire service was called at 9.59am.
