The former site of a Chinese takeaway restaurant in a Suffolk village could become an office if plans before a district council are given the go-ahead.
Plans to convert the ground floor of the former Wongs Takeaway at 31 Egremont Street in Glemsford into an office have been submitted to Babergh District Council.
The property has been empty for about 10 years when it was Wongs Chinese takeaway, and before this it was a restaurant.
Plans before the council would see the ground floor, currently made up of two shop areas with a kitchen at the back, transformed into an office.
The first floor, currently a two-bed self-contained flat, would remain unchanged.
The plans include signage for JDS Accounting & Tax Services Ltd which would be displayed on the front in white/silver/grey with an Oxford blue background.
Brickwork would be repaired and painted 'Morning Sky Blue', while solar panels would also be added to the roof.
A statement to the council says the plans would have a "positive impact on the local economy, residential amenity and the conservation of the historic environment" and "contribute to the vitality of Glemsford".
