A 52-year-old man has been charged with drink driving, driving without care and possession of cannabis after a car overturned on the A14 in mid Suffolk.
Police were called to the A14 westbound between Needham Market and Stowmarket at about 7.25pm on Saturday to reports that a car had overturned.
Mark Barrett, of Pightle Close, Bury St Edmunds, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and was taken to a nearby hospital for a check-up.

He was then transported to Bury St Edmunds police investigation centre for questioning and was charged with driving with excess alcohol, driving without due care and attention and possession of cannabis.

All lanes on the A14 westbound were closed until shortly before 9.30pm when a single lane reopened.
After hours of standstill traffic, the road was fully reopened at around midnight following recovery of the car and clearance of the road.
Barrett has now been bailed and will appear at Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Ipswich on July 26.
