Councillors will seek to have a Suffolk seafront street thronging with camper vans and motor homes designated for use by cars, motorcycles and disabled blue badge holders only.
The number of these large vehicles parked along Undercliff Road East in Felixstowe has been a source of concern for local residents for some time, particularly due to congestion caused by vehicles parked on either side of the road and damage to kerbs.
Another frustration has been a lack of space between the vans to enable pedestrians to get through and people putting tables and chairs on the promenade to dine.

However, at a meeting on Wednesday, Felixstowe town councillors voted to explore the regulated parking bays option, which would effectively ban motor homes from the street.
They also agreed to consult nearby residents, including people living in Undercliff Road East, Beach Road East, Berners Road and High Beach, about whether they would like residents' permit parking to deter displaced camper van owners from parking in their streets instead.
Local residents were present at the meeting and councillors also agreed to apply waiting restrictions in the neighbouring roads.

None of the proposals will be implemented until an alternative site has been found for the camper vans and motor homes to park, which will be the responsibility of East Suffolk Council.
Suffolk County Council's Highways team will also need to be consulted as the authority would implement the highways regulation order to create the regulated bays.
Felixstowe mayor David Rowe, who was present at the meeting, said: "I was supportive of what was being agreed.

"There were a number of residents at the meeting who expressed concerns, while there were one or two people living along there who were ok.
"The camper vans stop other people who have got beach huts from coming for the day and parking there because many are staying for quite some considerable time."
