A freight train derailed at a Suffolk port, causing extensive damage.
A spokesperson for the Port of Felixstowe confirmed that a freight service at the north terminal derailed on Tuesday, June 18.
They said: “We can confirm a freight train operated by GBRf suffered a derailment on the Trimley Branch Line at approximately 9.20pm on Tuesday.
"We are working with GBRf and Network Rail to return services to normal as soon as possible.”

Greater Anglia said their services were also affected for a small period of time, but the delays were kept to a minimum as the damage was contained within the port.
All Greater Anglia services are now unaffected by this incident.
