Plans to convert a former town centre bank which has been closed for almost two years have been given the go-ahead.
Documents lodged with East Suffolk Council in March sought to transform to the HSBC in Woodbridge, which shut in August 2022.
Proposals for the building include a new shopfront, internal alterations and single-storey extension at the back of the premises.
Inside, partitions and fittings will be removed to create a large, open-plan area for future tenants.
A planning statement said the premises is expected to be let for retail purposes.
The application added: "When viewed from the Thoroughfare the new shopfront will improve the existing outdated frontage of the former bank."
Closing the branch, HSBC said it had seen a decline in footfall in the number of people using banks.
The closure of the premises was one of three announced by the banking giant at the time, with branches in Stowmarket and Newmarket also cut.
The nearest HSBC is now in Ipswich.
