Police have confirmed there will be extra patrols in a village after concerns that a large number of teenagers will be meeting up on a playing field.
Sudbury police has said officers will be in Bures on Friday as officers have been made aware that school leavers may travel to the recreation ground to celebrate the end of exams and the end of term.
A spokesman for Sudbury police said: "Just to confirm this is not an organised event.
"We want everyone to have fun and celebrate this milestone but it needs to be good natured and within the confines of the law.
"Officers will be patrolling the area throughout the evening and will utilise our powers if needed to keep this a safe environment for all to enjoy."
Earlier this year, Suffolk police issued a warning of a possible gathering of youths in the village.
In a statement, Suffolk police said officers would have the power to disperse the group if required.
