A shotgun was taken amid an early morning spate of thefts that saw four homes broken into.
Suffolk police have said that all four houses within the Cornard Tye and Newton area were broken into during the early hours of Thursday, June 6.
The first incident happened at a property along Sudbury Road in Newton at around 12.25am.
A window was forced open to gain entry and handmade silverware was stolen.
Then at about 12.40am another home in Sudbury Road in Newton had a window smashed in, but no entry was gained and nothing was stolen.
At about 2.15am a house was broken into in Cornard Tye after a window was forced open to gain entry.
Also that morning a second home in Cornard Tye was broken into, although the method of entry is currently unknown.
But police have confirmed that a shotgun, cash and an iPhone charger were stolen.
Detectives are linking the crimes are are asking anyone with any information to contact the West CID at Bury St Edmunds police station, quoting the relevant reference number.
The reference number for the first incident is 37/31361/24, the second is 37/31359/24, the third is 37/31437/24 and the final one is 37/31437/24.
