A pub giant is seeking a new tenant for a sports themed bar in the centre of Bury St Edmunds that is "in need of a new direction".
Greene King has confirmed the current tenant at The Gym Bar at 3 Risbygate Street is leaving and it is seeking a new operator.
On its website, Greene King described the site as a "late night sports themed bar in need of a new direction".
The Bury-based brewery added: "We will be looking for you to completely change the offer within the pub and would be open to a change of name."
The Gym Bar has a late licence and is 95% wet trade led, but Greene King said it has a fully functioning kitchen which could expand trade.
"Bring your creative flair and imagination to form your own unique pub business in partnership with Greene King," the website reads.
A Greene King spokesperson said: "The current operator of The Gym has informed us of their intention to leave the pub.
"As such, we are looking for a new operator to work in partnership with us to run the pub and are exploring options to reinvest in the site as part of this."
The annual rent for the site is listed as £36,500 with a forecast operator profit of £40,929.
Other Greene King pubs in the area currently listed on the brewery's website as seeking new tenants include The Linden Tree, in Out Northgate, and The Rose and Crown in Whiting Street.
