An £11 million housing development in Suffolk has seen its first homes completed.
The development, known as 'The Fields', is overseen by Flagship Homes, a division of the Flagship Group.
With the first eight of 51 homes, off Turkey Hall Lane in Bacton, now ready, the developers had set to open a marketing suite on-site.
The remaining houses are scheduled for completion in stages, aiming for full completion by spring next year.
Peter Waplington, senior development project manager, emphasized the unique aspects of The Fields.
He said: “The site boasts an impressive hectare of open space, which is very rare for a four-hectare site.
“The street scene from Turkey Hall Lane was carefully designed to showcase the variety and quality of the materials used on site.
“A lot of work and consideration has been given to the scheme's design to make this site stand out.”
Alongside the homes, the development boasts a large wildflower meadow and additional public space, offering footpath links to the nearby St Mary’s Playground.
Its main road is named after Edwin Castell, a local who served in the First World War.
Flagship Homes’ head of sales and marketing, Amanda Crichton, said: “We’re looking forward to opening to the general public, and we’ve been really pleased with the interest so far.
“People are not just buying a home, they’re buying a lifestyle here. They’re buying into the community and everything that’s going on in Bacton."
A variety of home options are available, including two to four-bedroom houses and bungalows available for open market purchase, shared ownership or affordable rent overseen by one of Flagship Group’s three housing associations, Samphire Homes.
Catering to different budget possibilities, shared ownership allows for a much smaller deposit.
The development, contracted to Mildenhall-based builders Cocksedge, offers the convenience of facilities like a local pub, grocery store, doctor’s surgery, primary school, a football club and a brewery.
