A man was airlifted to hospital following a suspected assault. 

Suffolk police were called to reports of an incident in the Castle Keep development in Framlingham between 9.30pm and 10pm on Monday. 

Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault while one man was airlifted to hospital.

Witnesses spotted the air ambulance landing in Fairfield Road.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 10.37pm yesterday with reports of an injured person near Tett Terrace in Framlingham. 

"We sent the East of England Air Ambulance and one ambulance and a man was taken to Ipswich Hospital for further care."

Investigations into the suspected assault are ongoing.
