A dog and child-friendly Suffolk café serving scotch eggs, cakes and coffee says it is excited to reopen with a new look after moving to a town High Street today.

The Hive Coffee Shop, which previously operated at the EpiCentre in Haverhill, announced it has completed its move and opened its new-look shop in Haverhill High Street. 

The new café is attached to the side of the Nine Jars at The Suffolk Hotel, a hotel and cocktail bar which shares the same owner.

The café said in its post on social media "THE HIVE IS OPEN! Pop in today and say hi. Enjoy the best illy coffee, a delicious slice of cake or maybe an incredible Scotch Egg"

They added: "We are dog friendly, baby friendly … in fact just friendly! See you soon".

The Hive will be working alongside a local business called The Kitsch Hen, who will provide traditional and vegetarian homemade scotch eggs amongst other tasty treats. 

The café said: "Whilst we are sadly leaving The EpiCentre, we are excited for The Hive’s next chapter with more choice and a new vibe and the same beautiful illy coffee!"
