A new shop selling eco-friendly and vegan cleaning products, as well as homewares and items from local businesses, is set to open in a Suffolk village with a familiar face at the helm.
E Edmunds Homewares will open at The Old Coach House at The Green in Cavendish, near Sudbury, on Saturday, June 8.
It is the brainchild of Elisha Edmunds who lives in nearby Ashen and runs E Edmunds Ltd cleaning company which, established in 2019, offers both domestic and commercial services locally.
Ms Edmunds, 30 and a mum-of-three, said the shop will stock a variety of eco-friendly and vegan products, including her own range of hand wash, antibacterial spray and washing up liquid.
"I definitely saw there was a market for it - all of our products are not tested on animals, they're eco-friendly, refillable, plastic-free, no toxins," she said.
"In our industry you see lots of other companies pump houses full of cheap nasty chemicals but that's not how we run."
Ms Edmunds said the store will also stock homewares, art and other items from local makers, many of which are her clients.
She said: "When I saw this shop I also realised there was room to have other people's products in here as well and that's when we went down the route of allowing them to sell through us as well."
She continued: "Running the company is a full time job on top of this so there's a lot to do still but it should be really good.
"We are excited to blossom within this community and hope to be a welcome addition to the lovely people of Cavendish."
The shop will open to Ms Edmund's cleaning clients on Thursday evening but will officially open to the public on Saturday, June 8.
