A man from Suffolk has been jailed for multiple shoplifting offences and possession of a drug.
Benjamin Harding, aged 35, of Ducksen Road in Stowmarket, was arrested on Saturday, May 25 in connection with the theft of alcohol and food from a petrol station at Longwater, near Norwich.

On Monday, May 27, Harding pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and one count of possession of a controlled class B drug, an amphetamine, at Norwich Magistrates’ Court.

Harding also previously admitted to six additional shoplifting offences occurring at a Co-Op and a Sainsbury’s in Costessey, near Norwich, between May 13 and May 25, which was also taken into account in his sentencing.
He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.
