A two-week-long festival and carnival is set to make its return to a coastal town next month. 

Here is everything you need to know about the Southwold Arts Festival 2024.

When is the festival? 

Southwold Arts Festival starts with Slaughter in Southwold, an event for crime writers and lovers of crime writing, on Saturday, June 15. 

The festival will run for two weeks ending with the return of the Southwold Street Festival on Saturday, June 29.

Where is the festival? 

The festival will be taking place across the town of Southwold. 

The majority of events will be at either Southwold Arts Centre or St Edmunds Church but some will be further afield such as the Art Trail.

What events will there be?

There are 23 events making up the line-up for this year's event showcasing a variety of different aspects of the arts. 

There are music performances, a talk uncovering Suffolk's mysteries and evenings with industry figures such as former rugby player Sir Bill Beaumont.

How much do tickets cost? 

Each event has a different ticket and cost with the most expensive being £35 for An Evening with Rick Wakeman. 

The Open Art Trail showcasing work from artists based in Reydon and the Street Festival are both free to attend.

Can I get a refund if I cannot attend an event?

Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged, even in the event of illness. 

However if a show is cancelled, organisers will be in touch as soon as possible and a refund will be made. 

Anyone who is late for an event will not be allowed in until a break in the performance.
