Firefighters are set to remain at the scene of a huge blaze following a derelict factory fire in Sudbury.
The cause of the fire is unknown and an investigation into its origins has begun.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at 5.10pm on Tuesday as 16 appliances from across Suffolk and Essex attended.
The crews were from Sudbury, Long Melford, Hadleigh, Woodbridge, Ixworth, Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Haverhill, Clare and Halstead fire stations.
The stop message was received at 7.51pm but three fire crews will remain at the former Delphi factory in Sudbury to ensure the blaze doesn't flare up again.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed it was a building fire in a derelict factory, approximately 100mx100m and 20% involved in fire.
A cordon was also put in place as police have arrived in the scene, an eye-witness reported.
Delphi Diesel Systems closed in mid-2020 with hundreds of job losses.
The American-owned conglomerate behind the site decided to move the manufacturing operation - which made diesel fuel injectors and filters for commercial vehicles - to Romania in eastern Europe.
Suffolk police said officers were investigating the incident and appealed for information relating to a break-in.
This is a breaking story, updates to follow.
