A planning application to build 61 new homes in a Suffolk village has been submitted.
If plans are given the green light the new homes will be built on the land west of Ixworth Road in Thurston.
Persimmon Homes has submitted the application to Mid Suffolk District Council.
The new homes will be a mixture of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom properties.
The application form states that 22 of the properties will be affordable living homes.
According to the design and access statement the development "will function well and add to the overall quality of the area, not just for the short term but over the lifetime of the development".
It comes after plans to build more than 120 homes in the village were approved last year.
Applicant Linden (Thurston) LLP submitted the application to build the new homes on land to the north of Norton Road in Thurston.
The plans also included 217 parking spaces, 26 garage spaces and 15 visitor spaces.
