Police recovered four stolen vehicles in one day in a Suffolk town.
On Sunday officers from Stowmarket Police and Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Armed Policing Team located and recovered a stolen vehicle that was also using cloned plates.
A spokesman for Stowmarket Police said it was one of four stolen vehicles that was recovered on Sunday alone.
Officers are warning people to complete thorough checks on vehicles they are purchasing.
Advice from police to prevent car and vehicle theft:
- Lock your vehicle
- Keep the keys safe
- Be aware of carjackers
- Park responsibly
- Watch for illegal tow trucks
- Fit good in-car security locks
- Double-check electronic locking
- Before owning, check for cloning
- Secure your port
