An east Suffolk travel agency that has topped 'best of' polls is moving to a new location within its town.
Deben Travel is relocating from its current premises in The Thoroughfare in Woodbridge to a newly-developed site at Deben Wharf at Whisstocks Place.
The firm, founded by director Lee Hunt in 2012, is now into its 13th year of trading and is set to move into a property the company describes as "modern, light and spacious" with quirky features, such as business class airline seats in the waiting area.
The move is due to take place on Tuesday, June 4.
A Deben Travel spokesperson said: "Lee's vision to create a fully independent agency with access to a wide range of tour operators, airlines and cruise lines able to arrange all aspects of your trip with an unbiased approach and high level of customer service has achieved great success which has led to the need for a larger, more modern premises."
In April 2022, Deben Travel was named the east of England’s top agency for the fifth consecutive year as part of the Trade Travel Gazette Top 50 Travel Agencies 2022, an annual power list of the nation’s best agents by TTG.

"To win once was a huge achievement but to win now five times amongst such strong competition and the backdrop of these tough times in the industry is a testament to how hard the team always work”.
The spokesperson added the travel agency had experienced many challenges from world events and the Covid pandemic, but had "continued to thrive" and "maintain loyal customers through their outstanding customer service".
