A Felixstowe man who bit his partner’s hands and punched and kicked her during a row after she locked him out of the house has been jailed for nine months.
CJ Slate had been drinking when he forced his way back into the house and attacked his partner while she was on her bed, Ipswich Crown Court heard on Thursday.
He had punched and kicked her legs and bit her hands causing them to bleed, said Olivia Rawlings, prosecuting.
Slate, who is formerly of Garrison Lane, Felixstowe, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and breach of a suspended sentence.
Ipswich Crown Court was told on Thursday that the 31-year-old had a previous conviction for domestic violence on the same partner in 2019.
Hannah Gladwell, for Slate, said her client had long standing addiction issues.
