The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) has announced the addition of EastWind to its portfolio of sector councils.
EastWind, the East of England’s offshore wind cluster, will act as EEEGR’s offshore wind sector council that will see a reciprocal board arrangement for both organisations.
As part of the partnership, EEEGR chair Kevin Keable will join the board of EastWind, while Andrew Harston, chair of EastWind, takes a seat on the EEEGR board as a co-opted director.
“We’re thrilled to become part of the wider EEEGR network as their offshore wind sector council," said Andrew Harston.
“The agreement will benefit both EastWind and EEEGR as we share expertise and insights across organisations and strengthen our networks to the advantage of our region’s industry.”
EastWind has a presence at EEEGR’s flagship SNS conference on May 22 and 23, both as exhibitors and within the main conference agenda.
Further to this, both organisations will collaborate with GENERATE to represent the East of England at RUK’s Global Offshore Wind conference in June.
“This is a perfect alignment of our two organisations,” said Kevin Keable.
“Our sector councils achieve so much, and EastWind are a great example of how collaboration can bring companies together for the growth of the sector within our region and beyond. We are very happy to announce this at SNS 2024.”
