A keen photographer has captured an incredible picture of an iconic war plane as it passed over a Suffolk town.
Ron Smith captured the Spitfire flying over Sudbury on Saturday, May 4.
Spitfires used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) were famous for defeating Luftwaffe air attacks during the Battle of Britain in 1940.
More than 20,000 of the planes were produced between 1938 and 1948, with the Second Wolrd War ending in September 1945.
A number of Spitfires are expected to fly over Suffolk again next month as part of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight for King Charles' birthday.
The display, which will start in the skies above Suffolk, will take place on Saturday, June 15.
According to Military Airshows, the formation will start in the North Sea near Lowestoft and Southwold.
It will then fly over the parts of the A12, before taking in Ipswich.
The Red Arrows, the iconic RAF aerobatics display team, will also be taking part in the flyover.
