Historic vehicle enthusiasts were in for a treat today with more than 600 vehicles taking part in the Ipswich to Felixstowe Historic Vehicle Run.
The free event is in its 52nd year and attracts thousands of people annually.
The vehicles, all over 30 years old, gathered at Ipswich’s Christchurch Park on Sunday and departed at 11am, traversing the Suffolk countryside to reach Felixstowe Promenade in the afternoon.
Visitors said it was a “great morning”, with many praising an “excellent day” and “fantastic show”.
When the run started in 1970, 35 vintage vehicles - almost all cars - took part.
But today visitors were enthralled by vintage buses, fire engines, and motorbikes to name but a few.
Local enthusiasts lined the 10 mile route from Ipswich to Felixstowe, as well as enjoying the sunshine along Felixstowe promenade.
